
NSCN (I-M) has mourned the demise of Andrew Clark, a prominent member of Quakers, adding that he played an important role during the Quakers mission in “Nagalim”.
In a condolence message, NSCN (I-M) said the group remember the Quakers for their integrity, simplicity, experiences and hard work in the field of peace and reconciliation.
“They respect no borders. They came all the way to work among the Nagas. The Nagas shall remain indebted to them for their dedicated services to bring about reconciliation and unity among the Naga freedom fighters”, read the message.
NSCN (I-M) said the Quakers took keen interest in solving the Indo-Naga political problem and took the initiative and work towards reconciliation and unity among different political groups to bring final political settlement. NSCN (I-M) late Andrew Clark visited Hebron on two occasions to meet the NSCN Collective Leadership.
Further, NSCN (I-M) has conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members, friends and members of Quakers and prayed that God would give them the courage and peace to bear the great loss, and the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
