
Deputy chief minister, Y. Patton accompanied by officials and police from Wokha district and party workers extensively toured Nyiro Range under 37 Tyui A/C on Monday.
According to a press release by media cell of Dy.CMO, during the tour, Patton, who is also minister incharge of Home and Road and Bridges, interacted and held threadbare discussion with the villagers, party workers and village councils, where he was apprised of the hardship faced by the people.
After a patient, he assured of all possible assistance and also to put forward the genuine grievances like healthcare facilities, water supply, roads and other important amenities to the government.
Patton also said that the ongoing Wokha- N. Longidang road, which is the lifeline of Nyiro range, on completion will be a fulfilment of the long felt need of the people of the range.
The dy.CM also emphasised on the need to preserve flora and fauna which was fast depleting in the region and also called upon the people to cooperate with the government agencies to avail the benefits.
