Prohibitory order under Section 144 CrPC, 1973 has been promulgated in all the wards under Tseminyu town council area with effect from 6am of April 19, 2023 till further orders.
In an order, the sub-divisional magistrate Tseminyu, Kemciyile, stated that a situation has arisen in Tseminyu town wherein there was likelihood of serious breach of peace, disturbance to public tranquillity and danger to human lives and properties as evident by some groups of individuals taking law into their own hands.
The sub-divisional magistrate, therefore, prohibited the assembly/movement of five or more persons within the whole of Tseminyu town council area. Carrying of sticks, stones, firearms and /or weapons of any description or objects, which could be used offensive weapons, have also been prohibited.
All administrative officers and DBs have been directed to perform magistrate duties to ensure compliance of the order in their respective jurisdiction without fail.
Senior superintendent of police Tseminyu district has also been asked to implement the order in letter and spirit.
