The 13th Sürümi Award Trust (SAT) ceremony was held at Sürümi Baptist Church (Aizüto) on December 31. Addressing the gathering as the main speaker, Er. Huwuto Awomi, DGM at IOC Ltd & Trustee, shared his educational journey, emphasizing the significance of hard work. He encouraged students to limit their use of mobile phones, attributing them to the degradation of the vibrant lifestyle of the current generation. SSU president & Trustee, Katovi Shikhu, chaired the proceedings while the welcome speech was delivered by Akükau Vukhuhe Awomi, who introduced eight candidates qualifying in NPSC, NSSB, and other competitive exams from the village.

Established in 2011, SAT aims to award meritorious students for educational excellence in Cl-10 Board examinations annually. Over the years, SAT-PGLAAMC AWARD and SAT-SJET AWARD were instituted for subject and overall toppers among Sürühuto area students.
The awardees for this year were Kezokali Sümi, Bonikali Sümi, and Inanguka P Yeptho, each receiving the SAT Akighiche Saxu (Excellence award). Additionally, Vibeli Sümi received the SAT-PGLAAMC Award for MIL (Sümi) subject topper, while Inanguka P Yeptho secured the SAT-SJET AWARD for overall NBSE Topper 2023 amongst Sürümi students.
The awards, consisting of certificates and Rs. 20,000 each, were presented by Er. Huwuto Awomi and pastor Hito Chishi, who blessed the awardees and successful candidates.
