Concerned Citizens of Dimapur (CCD) along with some Churches would be organizing a poster awareness campaign “Say No To Crackers” on December 30 between 12 to 4 p.m. at flyover bridge. In a statement, CCD said that the campaign was to spread awareness on the hazards of usage of crackers on health and its effect on environment.
“Concerned citizens and Churches having concern on this issue are having a peaceful poster awareness campaign to show, that there are sections of people who silently suffer the effects of random and excessive bursting of crackers”, it said.
In this regard, the forum has requested all likeminded citizens and bodies to take part in the interest and welfare of the people.
