
State Bank of India (SBI) Kohima branch observed its 56th anniversary on May 4.
A press release by SBI Kohima branch stated that during the programme, the branch celebrated with cake cutting and release of brochure by senior customer Viu Angami.
Speaking at the programme, assistant general manager (AGM) of the branch, Besii Bosco said that the branch underwent tremendous change from manual banking to technology driven core banking.
He thanked the customers for adapting to the fast changing technology and requested them to make use of the brochure for onboarding to digital platform.
One product which the bank recently launched and would come useful during the pandemic is the “insta plus savings account” for opening new regular SB account digitally through YONO app without any branch visit.
On the occasion, he also handed over insurance death claim settlement of Rs. 2 lakh to the nominee of late Prukhru Rhi under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) which was enrolled by SBI customer service point, Kezieke.
He lauded CSP Neiketou Theyo for promoting the scheme PMJJBY which was a social security scheme of the government of India with life insurance cover of Rs. 2 lakh for death due to any reason for those having savings bank account in the age group of 18 to 50 years with annual premium of Rs. 330 only.
