State BJP holds consultative meet

Consequent upon revocation of the suspension of some of its members, State BJP president Visasolie Lhoungu convened a joint consultation with party legislators and senior party members here on Thursday.
In a statement issued by its media cell, the BJP claimed that the meeting was a grand success where the members present expressed their desire to achieve a complete reconciliation and re-strengthen the party. Various issues pertaining to the organisation and the State’s current political developments were also deliberated in a threadbare manner for four hours, it added.
Meanwhile, the State BJP has welcomed the recent appointment of Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju as the party’s election in-charge for Nagaland.
On the other hand, while appreciating the stakeholders and Government of India for the significant progress made in the negotiation for a final settlement on the Naga political issue, the State BJP also reiterated its stand for an early solution to the protracted issue.
