State observes NDA’s 2nd anniv

National BJP vice president Vinay Sahasrabudhe on Thursday expressed immense satisfaction over the BJP-led NDA government’s performance in two years, saying it had clamped down on corruption as a result of an unblemished and spotless administration led  by Narendra Modi.  
Addressing the members of the NPF-led DAN government, an alliance of the BJP at the Centre, as part of month long event to commemorate the second anniversary of Modi led NDA government at Multi-purpose building, IG stadium, Kohima on Thursday, Sahasrabudhe claimed that over the past two years, no mediapersons have used the word “scam” and “corruption” against the BJP-led NDA government, as none of the ministers have faced such allegations.
While stating that Narendra Modi has earned a unique place in political arena of the country for several reasons, Vinay also claimed that “in the last two years, the Prime Minster has not taken holiday even for a single day”.
Underlining that the NDA government believes in implementation and performances and not mere legislations, he pointed out that the PM has been able to make a major overhaul in the working system by bringing “work culture”. Accusing the then UPA government for neglecting the DoNER ministry by not appointing the right person, Vinay said the present DoNER minister, who hails from Kashmir, was in a position to understand the agony and aspirations of people living in the hills and border areas.
He said as part of the celebration union ministers and party men have been assigned to go all over the country in order to seek ideas, suggestions and present the report of NDA government.
Union minister of state for Panchayat Raj, Nihalchand who also spoke on the occasion advised Nagaland government to create “one tier/two tier Gram Panchayat system” as direct funds were available. 
He also lauded Nagaland government for proper utilization of MNREGA funds and assured more funds under the scheme. Nihalchand also informed that under the 14th Finance Commission, Rs. 1000 crore had been allocated for the sixth schedule areas including Nagaland, Manipur and Meghalaya.
As India was able to achieve the fastest growing GDP at 7.5%, Union minister for Law and Justice, D.V. Sadananda Gowda said if there is good agriculture produce this year, there was possibilities to cross the 8.5% mark. 
While highlighting the Centre’s policy and its implementation at the programme, Gowda assured that the Centre was ready to provide more assistance to the state government. Delivering short speeches, NPF president and DAN chairman, Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu made known that Nagaland had been the only state in the entire NE region which remained an alliance partner of the NDA. While taking cue of the change in guard in Arunachal Pradesh and Assam, he said the next could be the fall of Congress under Ibobi in Manipur.
Lauding Narendra Modi’s determination to solve the Naga political issue, Dr. Shürhozelie lamented that during the previous years, the issue was never projected in the right perspective at the Centre. 
Also addressing the gathering, Nagaland chief minister, T.R Zeliang suggested NDA and BJP to work out a strategy of cooperation and adjustments through the newly formed North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA). 
This way he felt that in the next Lok Sabha election in 2019, all the states in the North East would be ruled by BJP and NEDA alliance.
He said that this would ensure that at least two-third of the 25 Lok Sabha seats in the NE region would be bagged by BJP and its allies (NEDA).
Meanwhile, welcome address was delivered by member secretary DAN, MP Rajya Sabha and secretary-general NPF, K.G.Kenye, while vote of thanks was delivered by BJP legislator and Transport, Civil aviation & IT, Paiwang Konyak.
Nagaland has the right to have its own HC: Gowda
Union Minister for Law and Justice, D.V. Sadananda Gowda maintained that Nagaland has every right to have its own High Court.
Speaking on the sidelines of the celebration, Gowda said he would discuss the issue with the Chief Justice and try to get funds for the construction of the High Court at the earliest.
He however lamented that through there were plans to set up the High Court, the scarcity of cases could possibly be a hurdle.
With regard to sub-ordinate courts, he said that the state government needed to hold consultations.
