Sukhalu urges GBs to refrain from allowing proxy teachers

Advisor school education, KT Sukhalu on Monday, urged the GBs of respective villages in Zunheboto to refrain from the practice of allowing proxy teachers in schools and reminded them that the teachers were professionals trained by the Department of School Education (DoSE).

Speaking at the 25th silver jubilee of Zunheboto Block Village Development Board Association (ZBVDBA) at Zunheboto town hall, the advisor also stressed on “the core values of pr1oper education.”

He stressed on the pre-primary and Anganwadi avenues and fears of derecognition of schools without enrolment.

Thanking the pioneers of the ZBVDBA, Sukhalu challenged VDBs of Zunheboto block and Zunheboto district to move forward and make progress in developments with the assistance of GBs and elders. 

Exhorting the farmers, the advisor also cited an example of the organic AC market located at 4th mile, Dimapur which was an outlet of uncontaminated organic source of fruits and vegetables. 

Further, he encouraged the VDBs to utilise the funds sanctioned by the government for the progress and development of their respective locality as an inheritance for future generations. 

He also talked about the value of NSRLM and initiatives undertaken in order to uplift the rural women through the establishment of Self-Help Groups (SHGs).

In this regard, he encouraged them to avail the women development funds from the share sanctioned through the respective VDBs. 

Later after the function, the advisor visited the ongoing construction at Government Higher Secondary School and expressed satisfaction at the pace of work.

He interacted with teachers and students of the school and assured that he would award an amount of Rs. 1 lakh to any student who secured a place at top 10 in the HSSLC/HSLC results from the school, media & communication, NDPP Zunheboto region informed.
