Following the collapse of a portion of National Highway-2 near the Kisama exit gate, stakeholders have come together in a coordinated effort to restore the vital roadway.
During a follow-up visit to the site, Lok Sabha MP S. Supongmeren Jamir expressed appreciation for the swift response and unity displayed by key stakeholders. He extended gratitude to the Phesama Village Council, affected landowners, district administration, contractor, and NHIDCL team for their proactive efforts in ensuring that repairs began immediately.
Highlighting the importance of NH-2 as a crucial link for intra- and inter-state connectivity, Jamir acknowledged the assurance given by NHIDCL officials and the contractor to complete restoration work within ten days. He urged them to remain committed to this timeline and ensure timely completion.
