The Global Open University Nagaland (TGOUN) received the “Torch Bearer University” award, 2017 on September 27 on the occasion of “World Tourism Day celebration organised at SCOPE auditorium New Delhi, New Delhi. A press statement by head, protocol and planning, Martoshi stated that the national award was received jointly by vice chancellor, Dr. H. N. Dutta and registrar, Dr. Imotemsu Ao in the presence of national and international dignitaries from fields of ecological tourism, diplomacy, international relations, hotel management, catering technology and applied nutrition.
