Fourth round ASHA training on module 6 & 7 under Zunheboto was held for Zunheboto Sadar, Suruhoto and Akuluto block from August 17 to 21 and for Aghunato, Satakha and Pughoboto block from August 21 to 28.
During the training programme, ASHAs were trained on various skills classifying and management of fever and diarhhoea (HBNC), legal measures to prevent violence against women, roles during VHND, intervene in case of violence against women- case study, HIV&AIDS, PPTCT, malaria, MCTS/ USSD, malnutrition.
Short documentary on child health and “a step at a time” maternal health was also showcased. Various IEC materials were also distributed during the training and evaluation of ASHAs was also demonstrated.
Meanwhile, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Zunheboto Dr. G. Hokishe Sema, encouraged the ASHAs saying that they act as a bridge between ANM and community.
He also praised the ASHAs for their sincerity and dedication, motivated and briefed them about the various incentives which could be availed by them through their service to the community.
Resources person for the training were CMO, Zunheboto Dr. G. Hokishe, District TOT’s, MOs (RBSK), DCM, ASHA Coordinators, Mobile ICTC Counsellor (DAPCU).
Altogether, 170 ASHAs participated at the training programme.
