DIMAPUR, FEB 18 (NPN):

The Khelo India Centre (KIC) Chekiye Village, in collaboration with the Chekiye Village Sports Association, has announced that it will conduct non-residential selection trials for Under-14 boys and girls on February 28 for the 2026–27 batch of the KIC Football Academy.
The trials will take place at Chekiye local ground from 9:30 a.m. and are open to eligible players from Chümoukedima district. The initiative seeks to identify promising young footballers and provide them with structured coaching under the Khelo India programme. Selected players will be inducted into the academy and offered systematic daily training.
Organisers have requested participants to report at the venue in proper athletic attire. Bonafide residents of the district are invited to attend the trials.
Khelo India Centres, established across the country, aim to strengthen grassroots sports infrastructure, nurture young talent and encourage mass participation in sports.
