WLU expressed grief over the incident, stating that the deceased was driving a Gypsy when it collided with a dumper truck allegedly operated by a 20 year old inexperienced driver employed by Pushpa Company. The union held rash and careless driving responsible for the tragedy and also blamed NHIDCL for failing to ensure proper road safety measures, including adequate warning signs and roadblock indications.
Late Hokugha Chishi was survived by his wife and two young children. Extending deepest condolences, the union assured full support to the bereaved family. The union demanded immediate ex gratia compensation from the state government, NHIDCL and Pushpa Company, along with speedy processing of all insurance claims and benefits. It further urged law enforcement agencies to conduct a fair and impartial investigation and take strict action against all responsible parties. The union affirmed that it will continue to closely monitor the case until justice is delivered.
KAK, in its statement, described the incident not merely as an accident but as a direct consequence of gross negligence and irresponsible conduct. It alleged that the dumper involved in the collision was driven by a 20 year old inexperienced driver employed by Pushpa Company, raising serious concerns over public safety on highways.
