Wokha to conduct riding test for two-wheeler taxi permit applicants

DIMAPUR: The Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Office, Wokha, has informed that the riding test for applicants seeking two-wheeler taxi permits will be conducted on May 20 at the office compound of the District Transport Officer (DTO), Wokha, from 10:00 AM onwards.
According to a DIPR report, two-wheelers will be provided at the venue for the test. However, candidates may also bring their own vehicles, provided the engine displacement is 125cc or above. The office further informed that any damage caused to department-provided two-wheelers during the test will have to be borne by the concerned candidate.
The authority also stated that no TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in the test and that the department will not be held responsible for any injury, accident, or mishap during the course of the test.
Candidates have been instructed to bring two recent passport-size photographs along with a valid government-issued ID proof. Applicants have also been advised to report to the venue on time and comply with all instructions issued by the authority. The riding test will be conducted under the supervision of the Assistant Regional Transport Officer (E) as convenor, while the Enforcement Inspector and Motor Vehicle Inspector will serve as members. The Extra Assistant Commissioner (Transport) has been assigned to oversee and supervise the smooth conduct of the entire process.
