‘Women in agriculture’ orientation programme

Orientation programme under “women in agriculture” for Self Help Groups (SHGs) was organized by department of Agriculture, Wokha on April 20 at District Agriculture officer (DAO) office.
During the programme, district agriculture officer Wokha, C. Peter Yanthan, encouraged “farm women” to take up activities which would benefit their group.
 He also assured them that the department would provide technical guidance and agriculture support so as to uplift the economic status of the “farm women” in the villages.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by AFA and facilitator women in agriculture, M. Zuthunglo Erui. She deliberated on guidelines and implementation of women in agriculture. Vote of thanks was proposed by AO, Mhathung Odyuo.
