YouthNet in partnership with Indian Entrepreneurship Foundation (IEF) conducted the first session of entrepreneurship program “The Master class” on October 2 at YouthNet office, Kohima.
The programme was part of YouthNet’s bigger program called “Impact 5000 by 18” which is being carried out in partnership with government of Nagaland to encourage the private sector through entrepreneurship, employment generation and skill-building.
The Master class brought together some of the promising urban educated emerging entrepreneurs and young people in business. Through this Master Class, youthnet and IEF conceptualized to address the needs of urban entrepreneurs and organization leaders who have the potential to take their enterprises or organizations to new heights which would positively affect the economy of society as a whole.
YouthNet and IEF also envisioned that these entrepreneurs would provide higher value chain for rural entrepreneurs and create employment opportunities for the youth of the state.
The program has been designed for two years where business owners and organization leaders registered would meet once every few months, to share ideas and learn from each other and also to assess the growth of their enterprise or organization as an outcome of their learning.
Founder of IEF Bhairavi Jani who was also listed as one of the 30 most Powerful Women in India by India Today publication in 2010 facilitated the first session.
