Zeliangrong Youth Front (ZYF) Nagaland has resolved to protect and preserve natural resources/flora and fauna for which the front has banned rampant logging under Peren district.
In a press release, ZYF Nagaland president, Josiah Zeliang and secretary general, Mathiusin Pamei said an executive meeting was held on September 30 wherein the house resolved to protect and preserve the natural resources.
In this regard, ZYF (N) has resolved to strongly implement its resolution to ban cutting of tress and restrict movement of vehicles carrying “unprocessed round logs” through Peren district.
ZYF (N) has also requested timber union and log contractors to strictly abide and comply with the prescription laid down by the front in order to avoid “unnecessary misperception misunderstanding”. It has also warned of action against those found violating the resolution.
