Speaking on the occasion, Kannan underscored the role of quality in transforming governance and services, stating, “As part of Viksit Bharat 2047, the Quality Council of India will collaborate with Nagaland to build a robust quality ecosystem. This initiative will drive excellence across key sectors, including healthcare, MSME, education, and tourism, fostering sustainable growth and development.

Gunvatta Sankalp Nagaland marks a crucial step in supporting and amplifying the state’s efforts to strengthen quality standards across sectors. With engaging discussions, insights, and shared commitments, the initiative aimed to support the government, industries, and communities in enhancing quality consciousness. The QCI is a premier autonomous body set up by central government, and is responsible for creating a quality mindset. It envisions ensuring quality across products and services that touch every citizen.

As an independent and autonomous body, the QCI has created a mechanism for independent third-party assessments of products, services, and processes, coordinating activities through its constituent boards and divisions. The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, serves as the nodal point for QCI. This was stated in a press release.
