Drugs Control Officer, under the Chief Medical Officer, in coordination with the district administration and Wokha Police, carried out a pharmacy enforcement exercise in Wokha town on June 10.
The operation followed a cancellation order issued by the State Drug Control Administration, under the Department of Health and Family Welfare.
During the exercise, drug licence of 15 pharmacies within Wokha town were cancelled. The pharmacies were found to be in violation of Rule 65 (2) of drug and cosmetic rules 1945 and section 42 of the pharmacy act, 1948.
